Diary Entry (#5) - 'Some Sad News and Happy News'

Dear Diary,

Tharindi is not bolded and Samantha is. 

So it has been a while. Yup, but we’re here now.  Some big stuff has happened while we were gone, so let’s start at the top. 

Well, we had APs. Those went surprisingly okay except I had to retake Comp Sci cause College Board is dumb. Yeah omg that was horrible.  At least we only had to take two APs and it worked for you on the second time. True and they weren't too hard.  I felt that they weren’t easy either, but yeah they weren’t too bad.

Ooh and then I had to redo almost all of my math because Canvas and the Adobe app were both dumb. So life's been great. I finished math yesterday but I felt too tired to actually turn it in.  I still cannot believe you managed to finish all the math homework in one week.  Did Rose finally respond to your email? No. But also it's 9 right now. Yeah me neither, I'm dead tired of math (sorry Mr. Rose).  Mhm, but at least the summer homework didn’t look too bad. FR.

Speaking of summer homework, the AP Lang homework is a literal joke.  You have to write a paragraph about anything you read, from a blog to a magazine to a book. And you only have to respond to one question. 

And school ends tomorrow. Honestly, finally. It was kind of tiring. I know… I was starting to really procrastinate my homework, so it’s nice that it’s finally over.  Of course, I sort of have nothing to do now, but we’ll deal with that later. Yeahhh.

Oooh we also started this Spanish show called High Seas, and it's really interesting (murder, mystery, romance). We haven't finished, but we're almost halfway through Season 2.  There are so many plot twists in the show that we can’t finish at the end of an episode, because then you’re left on a ginormous cliff hanger XD. Exactly !!

(Also very side note - I've recently gotten into Everglow, Twice, & Blackpink). Nice, those are Kpop groups right? Yup, but girl groups. I didn't really listen to much other than BTS, but I've …. broadened my horizon??? Congrats.  Yeah the only one I heard of was Blackpink. :)

Ok, on to sadder news. First, I had my very first "concert" (because I paid for it)today. It was only 2 hours long but AMAZING! I was sad afterwards because post concert depression. Still don’t understand why you had to pay $35 for something that you could get for free. And I can’t believe that it was only 2 hours.  Wasn’t their other one like a bunch of concerts that was like super long.  Yeah, but this one was live, so they were actually performing. I didn't expect it to be very long because it's really tiring.  Ohhhhhhh, wait the other ones weren’t live? No, they were pre-recorded concerts.  Ahhhhh makes more sense. Yupp.

And then a few hours after the concert ended, I found out some very sad news. Ashley texted me and told me that Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide. He was one of my favorite actors. That is so sad.  I wonder why he did it.  No idea, he didn't leave a note. At least he didn’t OD which would be even worse cause then he didn’t choose to die.  Wait why didn’t he leave a note?  Everyone leaves a note, it’s common courtesy. Maybe they haven't found one yet. He was found hanging in his family's vacation home :(  Omg that’s really gruesome. I assumed he shot himself or took sleeping pills or something cause that seems like the least painful. Yeah, I didn't realize that either. (The saddest part is that he advocated for suicide awareness and his last movie was about how suicide is not the solution). That’s really weird.  Wait, did he advocate a lot?  I wonder what changed his mind. I'm not really sure how far his advocating went because I never kept up with that stuff, but he definitely supported awareness and stuff. Wow, that’s even more depressing. I was on Instagram and all the other actors posted such nice videos and stuff to commemorate him. Aww that’s really sweet. Rest in peace.

We should not end the diary entry here, it's kind of depressing. Hmm, what to talk about? Ooh, Samantha you should talk about your workouts.  Ok, it’s not that interesting tho. (I like hearing about your workouts). I just do a bunch of online workouts.  Recently I found an app (FitOn) that has a whole range of workouts that are all free, but I mean it’s basically just the same as youtube.  Sometimes I go for a run, but my knees hurt at the beginning of runs, so I tend to avoid that.  Also we went biking yesterday as a family and it was really fun :) :)  On the way there I stayed with them, but then I was able to go ahead on the way back, so I was biking all by myself which was nice to set my own pace.  Also, some annoying lady started drafting off of me and I didn’t know for the longest time.  That was so dangerous, I can’t believe she drafted off of me. Brooo, that is. 

Anyways, how’s dance? Oh, it's okay. Pretty much the same. OH. WE ORDERED STUFF FROM FRANCESCA'S.  YES. I almost forgot. I’m so excited.  There was a 60% off deal on everything on the online store, so we got a bunch of dresses and sweaters and earrings for like $5 each. Yes, I'm so excited to get them. Can I just say how weird sizing charts are?  I know right! Like how can you be an xs for hips, small for bust and m for waist.  Why is my body so weird XD Same, girl. 

Also, we were thinking about holding a social-distancing friendly picnic! 6 feet apart, of course. It would be very fun :))  Very fun :)  Also like, FOOD. YES. And we were going to have a photo shoot, which we would obviously post on our blog for the memories.  Yup, and also get creative with the angles, cause like… 6 feet apart. Exactly, it would be a challenge but fun!

Is this a good place to stop? I think so.

(hint: Google Meets captions).  Bro it was so funny when it kept happening.  Thanks Google Meets for the lovely nickname since you won’t let me use Tindi. Eww, never. Thank you, Samantha's obsession with Winnie the Pooh for the even more lovely nickname. OK, whatever you say.  But like, are you comparing the nickname Winnie the Pooh to The Randy Jedlica.  I think The Randy is better. Never. Winnie the Pooh >>>>> The Randy. Wow that’s a lot of greater than symbols, but I think you may have clicked the wrong button.  Nope, I don't make mistakes. The actual button is one to the right.  Let me demonstrate… < You're hilarious, Samantha.  Ty I try to be.  This is what I have learned from Eric(a).
